About Me

I'm a genius of awkwardness, a perfect mess, who regularly makes messes on the floor with paints, glue and scraps of vintage wallpaper.

My name is Amy.

I journal regularly and find it to be absolutely essential to my mental well-being.

I’m leaning towards a more simple life.

Ideally, I want to become an Art Therapist, birth some babes with my beloved, grow a garden together in the yard and continue to eat lots n’ lots of fruits & veggies.

I seek peace, time with nature, space for art and expression, as well as nourishing friendships.

I use this blog space to connect with other artists and explore my creativity.

Say hello and connect with me!

  1. Hi Amy! Just linked to your blog through Mandy's post about the secret message you received. Wanted to say hello and that I relate to your art therapy goal - I'd like to go back for my Master's in art therapy and am considering doing so next year. All my best to you!

    Hi Amy!

I stumbled upon your blog, as I also link up each month to "The Totally Awesome Blog Hop." I just went through a few pages of posts, and as soon as I am done commenting, will continue to scroll through posts. I can honestly already say, after having read a handful of posts that I adore your blog. I love the energy you exude. I've been looking for a pick-me-up lately, and reading your posts and seeing the honesty in your words gave it to me. You don't sugar coat life, but you have such a positive presence and as you say, an 'honest, raw truth of it all', that I can't help but feel uplifted. Ironically, I am also on a path to becoming a therapist. Not an art therapist like you, but still! Anyways, now that this comment has trailed off on a tangent, I wish you all the best and can't wait to follow and continue reading what you write about!

    1. Jackie! Thank you so much for your kind message! <3 I'm happy to connect with you. What kind of therapist are you becoming? I think this work is so very important. I wish it was available to all people. I hope you will continue to comment. <3

      Hi Amy!

At first, I was looking into child and adolescent. But after learning a little more about family systems therapy/family therapy, I think I might want to do that. I have yet to choose a specialty or intern (I'm in my second semester of grad school), but I'd like to work with kids and adolescents, regardless. I just feel that the family therapy is what I can connect to most, because that is what led me to this field - issues with my parent's growing up. We'll see! And yes, of course I will continue to comment :') I love your blog!

  4. Hi, Amy!!! I saw your comment on Marissa's blog post and I clicked over because (I hope this doesn't sound weird) I love the name Amy! I know... That DOES sound weird. But it's a favorite of mine and most Amy's I meet are so lovely. I read a few of your posts and absolutely adore your blog. So glad I followed my gut. <3 New follower, right here.

  5. Hi Amy! I'm new here and really enjoying your blog! Lots to relate with/ to. I look forward to checking in here. I can also relate to the in-between phases in life, and now in my forties, I can say that at least for me, these phases don't seem to disappear. It's a matter now of embracing them, enjoying the time right now, sandwiched between yesterday and tomorrow, and trusting that tomorrow will provide as much or more to be grateful for as today :) . I'm also interested in many of the same things. Wish you lots of luck and happiness!!

    1. Hi Kristen! I'm so glad you are here :) I agree, the in betweens are ongoing! I'm trying to learn to live with them and accept the present moment as it is. It's hard, though. I'm such an action oriented person. Do you have a blog? I'd love to see it if you do.
